This is a Blog about my Mother. She's a first generation Korean here in the states. I swear she still seems to be "fresh off the boat" at times.
I often thought she was crazy. Wait. I still do, but I love her dearly. With her sharp tongue she will curse you out in "Kongrish" and for those of you who aren't hip to the game... Well its Korean-Engerish.
Here is a little glimpse into my world, and how sometimes our conversations are Lost In Translation.

Sluts. Sluts. Sluts All Over The Place.
Mom: "Melondie-a the dog has sluts all over her face!" Me: "Mom its pronounced slobber. If she had sluts all over her face, we have one pretty gangster dog." Mom: "What does that mean?" Me: "Nothing Mom, just call it slobber next time... Not sluts."
Hey Mel..you are toooo funny...Love hearing your Mom stories in person. I hope my kids don't get any ideals...ha ha ha! cause I speak in Donna English...with a little bit of Kentucky twang at the end??
