My Mother... Lost In Translation.

This is a Blog about my Mother. She's a first generation Korean here in the states. I swear she still seems to be "fresh off the boat" at times. I often thought she was crazy. Wait. I still do, but I love her dearly. With her sharp tongue she will curse you out in "Kongrish" and for those of you who aren't hip to the game... Well its Korean-Engerish. Here is a little glimpse into my world, and how sometimes our conversations are Lost In Translation.

Good Morning.

7:30 am ::RING, RING, RING!::
Me: "Hello?"
Mom: "Melondie-a, please help me."
Me: "OMG are you okay? Are you in your room? I'm coming!"

::I run into her room::

Me: "Mom!"

::She rolls over::

Mom: "Would you please make me coppee?"
Me: "Are you kidding me?! You just scared the shit out of me!"
Mom: "Wha?"
